Jeffrey Jewelry was established in October of 1946 at 90 South Washington Street in downtown Tiffin, OH where it gained a loyal following and thrived until 1974. It then moved to 240 West Market Street to what was then known as The San Mar Center. Charles Cooper brought his jewelry knowledge to the community in 1975; With a philosophy to treat customers as family. He ultimately purchased the business in 1978.
Jeffrey Jewelry continued to prosper and grow, resulting in an expansion in the mid 1980's. Mr. Cooper and his team continued to provide new products and services at their San Mar location. In 1997 Chuck, along with his son Ty, built what is now known as the Wolf Creek Plaza. After a lengthy and courageous battle, Charles E. Cooper passed away in May of 2014 and is greatly missed.
Ty began his career at Jeffrey Jewelry in 1986, undertaking several job titles while specializing in engraving and the custodial arts. He graduated from Calvert High School in 1990. After attending The Ohio State University, he got a jump start on his career earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Heidelberg University. He spent the next year in Santa Monica, California obtaining his Graduate Gemologist (GG) degree from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Ty returned to Tiffin in 1995, developing a dedicated client base while continuing to learn all aspects of the jewelry industry. In 1997, he assisted his father in designing and moving Jeffrey Jewelry to the current location at Wolf Creek. Ty truly enjoys getting to know his customers, considering many to be personal friends. He takes great pride in being an integral part of couples' engagements and has a passion for timepieces. He is heavily involved in the community, with memberships in several service groups, seats on several local boards and has a strong sense of "Giving Back". Outside of work, Ty is a loyal Ohio State fan and enjoys hiking and boating with his family; he is also the captain of Jeffrey's own hockey team - The Jeffrey Jewelry Diamond Dawgs. Ty lives in Tiffin with his wife, Jenny, and their three children, Bre, Trenton, and Brody.
